More Striking Palm Tree Sculptures by Lisa Armstrong
Posted by Megan Petersen on
I'm excited to showcase more incredible palm tree sculptures by the amazing Lisa Armstrong of Palms n' Pallets: Home Decor by Lisa. As noted in her previous showcase, Lisa creates incredible works of art out of palm tree anatomy. Her home decor sculptures are other-worldly and a striking addition to the spaces they grace. (Above wolf sculpture includes these blue husky eyes.) Most recently, Lisa shared her fantastic eagle sculpture with me: This eagle sculpture includes these realistic glass eagle eyes, completing it's sharpened stare. Seeing creations like this made with our glass eyes is completely mind-blowing! Thank you for sharing...

So...I spray painted the models, attached them by magnets to "plastic rocks" meant for aquarium decor and thought I'd paint the eyes. On second thought messing up the eyes by a shaky hand would just...

Bandersnatch Mount by Jeremy of Yocumonsters
Posted by Megan Petersen on
This enticing Bandersnatch mount was crafted by Jeremy Yocum (Yocumonsters) of Phoenix, AZ. To complete it's wild and furious look, Jeremy give it a set of mismatched glass eyes from HandmadeGlassEyes.com. The two eyes include this spiraling clown glass eye and this nightmare clown glass eye, both in size 40mm. The combination of both is wild fun. The Bandersnatch originates as a fictional creature in Lewis Carroll's book, Through the Looking-Glass and poem The Hunting of the Snark. In The Hunting of the Snark, the creature is described as having a long neck and snapping jaws, and both works describe it as ferocious and extraordinarily...
